This is on my wish list. Robin, thank you for the interview and for your promotion such an interesting title. 200 years in one volume. I think that requires a fuzzy blanket, bedroom slippers, softly played classical music, and a mug of hot chocolate. A good book is a good friend to share those creature comforts with. – Joy Dawn King at Jdawnking at gmail dot com

    Hi Robin,
When I was in Bath for a month in 2003, I kept trying to imagine the Austen characters in their surroundings. I was with a University of Rhode Island study group, and when we were given an official tour of the city, Austen was mentioned, but the tiny museum in that town was glossed over. So I made a point of going back to it on another day and thoroughly enjoyed the exhibit, modest though it may have been (actually the Jane Austen Centre, it’s called now). This book looks fascinating and would add to my knowledge and understanding of this author’s wide-ranging influence and the ever-expanding influence of her books over the years.

What a wonderful giveaway! Our book group, ‘Bookbinders’, in Barrington, meets tonight, and in December we all bring a wrapped copy of a book we enjoyed reading over the past year,to exchange. So if I win a copy, after reading it myself (and if I can bear to part with it) I’ll probably pass it along either to my Austen loving sister, or to our bookgroup member who rereads all of Austen every year! So, could I enter for 3 copies please!!

    • robinkall says:
