Hi BeautyNTravel–you must read Cassandra King’s “Moonrise” for a great modern retelling of Rebecca (one of my favorite classics as well.) Diane La Rue–P&P is my ALL-TIME favorite classic (with Jane Eyre running a very close second…) have you read Bridget Jone’s Diary–very well done modern adaptation. Also, I think Liane Moriarty is the modern-day Jane Austen–her critique on modern social mores is hysterical! Another classic fav of mine would be “Tale of Two Cities”! Robin–very fun discussion topic! Cheers! BCC

Catcher in the Rye would be fabulous. I’m also a huge fan of a Little Women so that’s my second choice.
