This looks like a fabulous book. I’d love to win a copy. I’m a big fan of memoirs. I’d buy another memoir by Bill Bryson, if we’re talking contemporary writers here–I adored The Thunderbolt Kid, and his travel memoirs are unputdownable. I also wish Tina Fey would do a “real” memoir. I enjoyed Bossy Pants, but I felt like she held too much back. Most of all, though, I wish that my grandmother had written her memoir, because she told such great stories about her dance hall mom moving here from England with her uptight dad, who worked in the woolen mills around New England.
